Basic Drawing Class with Susan Antin, Saturday mornings, 10 - 12,  February 4 - March 10, 2012

Unleash your inner artist! Explore the world of drawing, while learning basic principles and techniques. Topics such as: Perspective, light and dark shading, color and texture, contour and linear drawing. Students will have the opportunity to utilize a variety of media and create finished drawings, as well as try a number of useful exercises. This class is for those who have little or no drawing background. Instructor: Susan Antin 6 Weeks 10 – noon Saturdays Supplies: 1. Medium weight drawing paper pad, no smaller than 11 x 14 2. Drawing pencils- assortment of soft and hard- 6B is soft. 6H is hard. HB - Medium 3. Soft eraser 4. Charcoal or charcoal pencil 5. Good pen 6. Watercolor paper 7. Soft cloth for blending 8. Any colored media: watercolors, tempera paint, acrylics, colored pencils  Teacher: Susan Antin

Teacher Bios: >About Susan Antin:Susan has a BA in Fine Art - Painting and Drawing, from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts – because of a strong interest in the business world. While continuing to develop her artwork, she established a career in marketing and corporate training. Presently, she spends time creating, teaching art classes and promoting the arts. Her paintings and drawings can be found in numerous private collections. Susan has been represented in many exhibitions, including the Westmoreland Nationals, Westmoreland College, Pennsylvania; Montgomery Center for the Arts, Montgomery,NJ, Johnson & Johnson Corporate Gallery, Skillman, NJ and Princeton Arts Council, Princeton, NJ. Susan currently lives in suburban New Jersey with her adoring husband and two indifferent cats. She is actively involved in promoting the arts and encouraging other artists.
